Sharpe was selected 140th place by the Tennessee Titans in the 5th round in the 2016 NFL Draft . After a convincing performance in the training camp, he started his rookie season as a starter. He caught his first touchdown pass in the NFL on Matchday 10 in a win against the Green Bay Packers . He was used in all 16 games, ten of them as a starter. Sharpe started with 41 passes, including two touchdown passes, and gained 522 yards.

After Sharpe sustained an injury to his right foot in the last game of the 2017 preseason , from which he had previously been injured in the offseason, the Titans put him on the Injured Reserve List , which means that he was not used for the entire regular season.

In the following two seasons Sharpe could not quite build on the values from his rookie season and each achieved about 300 yards of space.
