Talbot Runhof is a German fashion label based in Munich . The company was founded in 1992 as "All About Eve" by Johnny Talbot (* 1964) and Adrian Runhof (* 1963) and renamed Talbot Runhof in 2000 . Women’s fashion and accessories are created, produced and sold under the name.

history

Johnny Talbot is an electrical engineer and worked as a programmer for the American government before becoming a fashion designer. Adrian Runhof gained experience in design and selling fashion early on, as he comes from a family of fashion producers and retailers, and studied business administration after graduating from high school.

Talbot and Runhof met in Munich in 1991 and initially founded the couture house "All About Eve" with a third partner, which was known for modern evening wear in the 1990s. At the same time, Talbot and Runhof worked as designers and sales managers for various international fashion brands. When "All About Eve" expanded in 1998 and began to establish itself on the American fashion market, it became clear that the name could lead to trademark problems, as Joop had already brought a perfume of the same name onto the market. Therefore “All About Eve” was renamed Talbot Runhof in 2000.

In 2005 Talbot Runhof received the Petra German Fashion Award .

Since October 2006, Talbot Runhof have presented their collections twice a year as part of runway shows during Paris Fashion Week . Talbot Runhof is, along with Wolfgang Joop's child prodigy, one of two German labels that has been granted this privilege by the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne .

The company has a 350 square meter boutique in Munich. The collections are made in our own workshops in Germany.

Talbot Runhof is known for evening wear, which u. a. is worn by Lady Gaga , Angelina Jolie , Anna Netrebko , Bettina Wulff and Julia Roberts .

As early as 2003, they were counted in the press as “among the leading designers for evening wear” and referred to as “the market leader on the red carpets in Germany”. Die Welt wrote in 2004: "Wherever women are depicted in beautiful clothes, Talbot & Runhof are among them" and in 2007 they counted the designer duo "among the favorite designers of film stars with their elegant, feminine cocktail and evening wear".

Both Selena Gomez and Carrie Underwood wore a silver-colored mini dress by Talbot Runhof at the 2009 American Music Awards .

The motto of the label is: "It's all about knowing where to stop" (meaning: you have to know how far you can go ).
