Tamara Viktorovna Gladenko

Tamara Viktorovna Gladenko ( Russian Тамара Викторовна Гладенко ; born April 30 . Jul / 13. May  1917 greg. In Kremenchuk , † 24. August 1991 in Novgorod ) was a Soviet architect and restorer .

Life

Gladenko came to Frunze in the 1930s . She studied at Bautechnikum and then worked in the Kyrgyz construction project planning organization Kirgosprojekt . In 1942 she became a member of the Union of Architects of the USSR .

When, after the German-Soviet war, Gladenko's husband Vasily Yefimowitsch Grewzew was sent to Novgorod as a construction specialist for reconstruction, Gladenko went with him to Novgorod. First of all, she planned the reconstruction of civil buildings in the Novgorod Novobl project. In 1951 she accepted Lyubov Mitrofanovna Schuljak's (1896–1996) invitation to work in the Novgorod restoration workshop. She examined the respective churches and monasteries in Novgorod and Staraya Russa, including the building survey, with great care and carried out the necessary reconstruction, renovation and restoration work in whole or in part. She became one of the leading restorers in the Novgorod restoration workshop and an expert on Old Russian architecture.

In 1976 Gladenko retired. She continued to advise her colleagues and carried out particularly important work.

Gladenko was buried in the Novgorod West Cemetery.
