Tamari Miyashiro (born July 8, 1987 in Honolulu ) is an American volleyball player . She won the Olympic silver medal in 2012.

Career

Miyashiro, whose mother and sister also played volleyball at the University of Hawaii , began her career at Kalani High School in Honolulu. During her studies, she played on the University of Washington team from 2006 to 2009 . In January 2010, the Libera debuted during an international trip to China in the US national team . For the 2010/11 season she went to the Austrian league at SVS Post Schwechat . With the club she won the national championship in 2011. In the same year she won the Grand Prix with the USA and came second in the World Cup . In 2011/12 she played in Poland for BKS Stal Bielsko-Biała . When Grand Prix 2012 the United States managed to defend the title. Then Miyashiro took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the silver medal with the national team. At the end of 2012 she moved to Lokomotiv Baku and at the beginning of the 2013/14 season in the German Bundesliga to the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg , where she won the DVV Cup in 2014. Then Miyashiro moved to league competitor Allianz MTV Stuttgart , with whom she won the German Cup again in 2015. after two German runners-up in 2015 and 2016, Miyashiro went back to the USA, where she became assistant trainer with the Arizona State Sun Devils .
