Tamayama ( Japanese 玉山 村 , - mura ) was a village in the Japanese prefecture of Iwate . It is known as the home of the poet Ishikawa Takuboku . Mainly rice cultivation, forestry and animal husbandry are operated.

As a district ( Ku ) of the city of Morioka, Tamayama is divided into the following districts:

history

  • April 1, 1889: As part of a reorganization of the urban structure, the following measures are carried out:
  • March 29, 1896: Kitaiwate and Minamiiwate counties merged to form Iwate county .
  • April 1, 1954: The villages of Yabukawa and Shibutami are attached to the village of Tamayama.
  • February 1, 1955: Part of the newly formed Tamayama village is incorporated into the city of Morioka .
  • June 1, 1955: Makibori Village becomes part of Tamayama Village.
  • February 1, 1961: Part of Morioka City is annexed to Tamyama Village.
  • October 1, 2006: The village Tamayama is completely in the city Morioka as a municipality Tamayama ( 玉山区 , Tamayama- ku incorporated).
