Tami Hoag
Tami Hoag (born January 20, 1959 in Cresco , Iowa ) is an American writer .
Tami Hoag, born as Tami Mikkelson , grew up in a small town in southeast Minnesota. At the age of 18, she married and supported her husband, Daniel Hoag's education, through various professional activities. She worked as a typist, photo assistant, saleswoman and horse trainer, among other things, before she began to write. 1988 her first book was The Trouble With JJ (dt. Fancy yourself) , published, soon followed by others.
Her first publications were romance novels , later she turned to the detective novel , whereby numerous novels are to be regarded as a mixture of both genres . Successful from the start, many of her books soon appeared on the New York Times bestseller list . Shortly after its publication, her novel Prior bad acts (Eng. In all innocence) took first place on the bestseller list of paperback novels in the influential New York daily newspaper.
Tami Hoag's love for equestrian sports provides a counterbalance to writing ; she even reached a national Grand Prix level in dressage . She lived with her husband on a horse ranch in Virginia for a long time before moving to Los Angeles , California . Some of her horses play a role in her novel Shadow Horse .
