Location of Tangrim in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Tangrim is a district of the municipality of Lindholz in the southwest of the Vorpommern-Rügen district . The community is located southwest of Tribsees. It belongs to the Recknitz-Trebeltal office , which has its administrative headquarters in Tribsees .

geography

Tangrim is 10.5 km south of Bad Sülze , 11 km southwest of Tribsees and 27.5 km southwest of Grimmen . The Trebel flows through the community and later flows into the Peene . The district lies on a cut plateau of 20 m above HNH, which however drops to 3 m to the Trebelmoor.

The place is 2.2 km west of the historical border between Mecklenburg and Pomerania, which is formed here by the Trebel.

history

Tangrim was already settled in the early days, which is proven by the numerous archaeological monuments. To the south of the place is a Bronze Age (1700 to 600 B.C.) tumulus. Almost 700 m to the northeast there is a relatively large rampart from the early Slavic period (700 to 900), which was named "The old castle" in the director's survey map. From the early German period (1230 to 1400) a tower hill castle has been preserved near the place to the west. The hill is still 3 m high and surrounded by a moat.

In 1637 Henning married Andreas von Behr (1608–1705) from Schlagtow in Western Pomerania near Gützkow to Ursula von Moltke. Their mother was a born von Kardorff. This family was wealthy around here and also had Tangrim as an estate agent. However, these properties were heavily devastated and in debt by the Thirty Years' War. Nevertheless, Behr took over the management of the Bäbelitz, Tangrim and Viecheln estates. Between 1647 and 1650, disputes between him and the Kardorff family over property and mortgage burdens took place. An agreement was reached and after the construction of the 1650 manor house in Tangrim, the von Behr family finally moved to Tangrim. In 1694 Otto Christoph von Behr (1638–1711) took over the Tangrim, Bäbelitz and Klein Nieköhr estates from his father. He too is still struggling with the Kardorff family and other creditors because of the old burdens. At the time, Tangrim still had 6 cottages in addition to the estate, but only two of them were occupied, the others were desolate. After his father's death, his son Gustaf Adolf has to pledge the Tangrim and Bäbelitz estates to his daughter-in-law Abel Sophie von Ahlefeldt for 7,000 Reichsthaler. When Gustaf Adolf died in 1738, his son Otto Christoph († 1782) had previously taken over the property, but handed the property over to the brother-in-law of Königsmark. But in order to avert bankruptcy, he sold the property in 1751.

In the Schmettau map from 1780, the place appeared as a noble estate with farm workers' cottages, but still quite small. A water mill was built to the north, but it was soon abandoned due to lack of water.

Landowners were u. a. the families von Königsmark (from 1736), von Güldner (from 1755), von Storch (from 1778), von Hövell (from 1783), von Kahlden (from 1787), von Kuylenstjern (from 1825), Koenemann (from 1830), Müller (from 1845) and Friedrich von Bülow (1847–1899).

According to the Mestischblatt (MTB) from 1880, a brickworks was built south of the village, which probably also made the estate compact, but the village had only five farm workers' cottages. Until 1920 Gut und Ort continued to expand according to MTB 1920.

After the land reform of 1945 the estate disappeared and new farmer settlements were built. After 1960, an agricultural complex (LPG) was built in the village, which is still privately run in the present.
