Tanja Hart (born January 24, 1974 in Marktheidenfeld , today Tanja Hart-Schneider ) is a former German national volleyball player .
Career
Tanja Hart started her career at DJK Karbach . From 1991 to 1993 she played for Bundesliga club CJD Feuerbach . Then she returned with her coach Mathias Eichinger to the second division DJK Karbach, with whom she was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 1994. In the summer of 1997 she played for the US club UC Santa Barbara . With the senior team she took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney . After the Karbach bankruptcy, Hart came to SSV Ulm 1846 in 2002 , with whom she won the German double a year later. The player then achieved third place at the European Championships in Turkey with the DVV selection . After her third Olympic participation in Athens in 2004 , she moved to USC Münster , with which she was again champion and cup winner in 2005. At the 2006 World Cup in Japan, she saw her next major tournament, which ended in a disappointing eleventh place. She spent her last two active volleyball years from 2006 to 2008 at 1. VC Wiesbaden .
In addition to her volleyball career, Tanja Hart studied English and sport to become a teacher and then successfully completed her legal clerkship at a comprehensive school in Wiesbaden . Until 2008 she worked as a teacher at the high school in Höchstadt . She has been teaching at the Staatliche Realschule in Bessenbach since 2009 .
