Location of Tannenbaum in Wuppertal

Tannenbaum was a locality in the Bergisch city of Wuppertal in the area of the junction Wuppertal-Ronsdorf of the federal highway 1 . The original living space was lost in the 1950s as a result of the construction of the motorway, the route of which runs right through the town. The remaining part of the later development opened up after the vacant lots were filled in the street village of Linde . As part of the expansion to three lanes , the last residential buildings in the area of the original residential area were removed.

Location and description

The location was in the Erbschlö-Linde residential area of the Ronsdorf district at 300  m above sea level. NHN at Landesstraße  58 (until January 1, 2008 Bundesstraße 51 ) in the south of the Linde district. Before the autobahn was built, a municipal road coming from Ronsdorf merged into the federal road in Tannenbaum, a former course of the Tannenbaumer Weg .

In addition to Linde, the locations Neuenhaus , Kastenberg , Großhülsberg , Großsporkert , Kleinsporkert and Blombach are adjacent .

history

Tannenbaum appears as at Dannenbaum on the map of the town of Ronsdorf by geometer JW Buschmann from 1790. The place is labeled as Dannenbaum on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 , on the Prussian first photo from 1840 it is unlabeled. It is regularly recorded from the Prussian new admission in 1892 until its departure.

In 1832 Tannenbaum belonged to the Blombacher Rotte in the rural outskirts of the city of Ronsdorf . The place, categorized as Kothen according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had a residential house and an agricultural building at that time. At that time there were six people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant. In the municipality encyclopedia for the province of Rhineland from 1888 three houses with 36 inhabitants are given.

Tannenbaum was on the newly built Chaussee at the beginning of the 19th century , which led from Rittershausen over the Heckinghauser Zollbrücke and Lüttringhausen to Lennep , today's Landesstraße 58 (formerly Bundesstraße 51).

Until the construction of the Wuppertal-Oberbarmen-Solingen railway line , Tannenbaum was connected by a path via Kastenberg with Kratzkopf near the center of Ronsdorf. The route was interrupted by the construction of the railway line and the Tannenbaumer Weg took over the route that had to be re-routed in the eastern area as part of the motorway construction and now meets the state road at Neuenhaus.
