Tarassiwka ( Ukrainian Тарасівка ; Russian Тарасовка Tarassowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Zaporizhia Oblast with about 1200 inhabitants (2001).
Tarasivka was founded in 1790 as Petro-Pawlivka ( Петро-Павлівка ) by settlers from the Poltava province and received its current name in 1922. The village is the administrative center of the 15.61 km² district council of the same name in the west of Polohy Rajon , to which the villages Andrijivske ( Андріївське , ⊙ ) with about 90 inhabitants, Romaniwske ( Романівське , ⊙ ) with about 200 inhabitants and Shevchenko ( ⊙ ) with about 730 inhabitants.
The village is located on the left bank of the Tokmachka ( Токмачка ), a 42 km long left tributary of the Kinska , about 16 km southwest of the district center Polohy and about 100 km southeast of the Oblast center Zaporizhia .
Territorial road T – 04–01 runs through the village .
