description

Fruit cluster

Vegetative characteristics

The split-leaved dandelion grows as a perennial herbaceous plant .

The leaves are arranged in basal rosettes and are divided into a petiole and a leaf blade. The slit-leaved dandelion has narrow to broad, more or less purple petioles. The more or less light green leaf blade is lobed. The leaf side lobes are usually crescent-shaped and toothed.

Generative characteristics

The flowering period extends from mid to late April, and a little earlier in warmer years. The flowers stand together in flower heads. The outer bracts are narrow, egg-lanceolate to lanceolate, long, almost flat to protruding-bent and narrow, clearly white-edged, above often purple, thickened to horned (= calluses). The flowers are light yellow. The stigma is greenish, with pollen.

An important distinguishing feature of calluses dandelions are the achenes , which are red-brown in Taraxacum lacistophyllum . In Baden-Württemberg there are also types with red achenes, the leaf shape of which is closer to Taraxacum lacistophyllum , but also to Taraxacum rubicundum .

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.

Habitat : Upper edge of the vineyard with split-leaved dandelions

Occurrence

Distribution in Germany

The Schlitzblättrige dandelion occurs widespread to absent-minded throughout Germany and is the most common type of the callus dandelion section of the Federal Republic.

Location requirements

The slit-leaved dandelion grows in Germany on dry roadsides and roadsides, in sheep pastures and semi- arid grasslands , but also in vineyards. In addition to basic, it also colonizes more or less acidic soils .

Systematics

It was first described in 1905 as a subspecies under the name ( Basionym ) Taraxacum erythrospermum subsp. lacistophyllum by the Swedish botanist Gustav Adolf Hugo Dahlstedt (1856–1934) in Om skandinavaviska Taraxacum-former. In: Bot. Not. No. 3. The rank of a species Taraxacum lacistophyllum (Dahlst.) Raunk. received it in 1906 from Christen Christiansen Raunkiaer (1860–1938).

The species Taraxacum lacistophyllum belongs to the section of calluses dandelions ( Taraxacum sect. Erythrosperma ( H. Lindb .) Dahlst.) In the genus Taraxacum .
