Tatiana Alexandrowna Kuchta ( Russian Татья́на Алекса́ндровна Ку́хта , Belarusian Таццяна Кухта / Tazzjana Kuchta; born June 13, 1990 in Brest , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian rower .

Athletic career

Tatjana Kuchta started rowing in 2007. At the Junior World Championships in 2008, she and Kazjaryna Jarmolitsch won the bronze medal in two without a helmsman . At the European Championships in 2008 , Kuchta won two bronze medals: In the two without a helmsman with Wolha Shcharbatschenja and in the eighth with Jarmolitsch and Shcharbatschenja, among others. The following year, Kuchta also competed in two boat classes at the U23 World Championships in 2009: Together with Maryja Smaljakowa she won in double sculls , with the double scull she rowed to fifth place. At the 2009 World Championships in the adult class, she finished eighth with a double foursome. In 2014 Ekaterina Karsten , Tatjana Kuchta, Julija Bitschyk, Jekaterina Schljupskaja won the gold medal with the double foursome at the European Championships , at the World Championships the boat with the same crew took tenth place. In the 2015 season Tatjana Kuchta competed internationally exclusively in the single, she won the bronze medal at the European Championships and took tenth place at the World Championships . After a fifth place in the single at the start of the Rowing World Cup 2016, Kuchta moved to Julija Bitschyk in the double scull for the European Championships . After gold in the double scull in 2012 and in the double scull in 2014, Kuchta won her third European title. They came in eighth at the 2016 Olympic Games .
