Baptismal font in Gipcy

The baptismal font in the church of St-Pierre in Gipcy , a French commune in the Allier department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , was created in the 16th century. The baptismal font of stone is a 1963 monument historique classified.

The rectangular basin, which is embedded in a wall niche, is closed by a wooden lid. A coat of arms is attached to the front, which is framed by arcades on the left and right. The coat of arms was probably destroyed during the revolution .
