Baptismal font in Nassigny

The baptismal font in the church of St-Martin in Nassigny , a French parish in the Allier department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region , was created in the 11th century. The baptismal font of sandstone is as since 1938 Monument historique classified.

The basin stands on four round pillars, which in turn are attached to a flat stone slab. Four unadorned heads and a cross can be seen as bas-reliefs at the four corners of the upper edge. The baptismal font is closed by a modern wooden cover.
