action
Dawood is a young man who comes from a simple background. He makes a living as a librarian. One day on the way to work, Dawood finds a script. Immediately he hands this over to the rightful owner Kaynat Mirza, who is very grateful. At first sight, Dawood falls in love with the beautiful author and helps her to publish the script that contains the life of a prostitute.
Dawood is given the task of reading the script and evaluating it. In the evening he begins to read the first lines when there is a violent knock on the door. A certain Rahim Sheikh is on the run and forces Dawood to leave his companion, the prostitute Sultana, here overnight.
The next day, they learned that Rahim had been arrested. Now he has Sultana on his neck and doesn't know what to do next. The situation worsens when Dawood's foster mother sees Aminabai Sultana and believes she is Dawood's hoped-for wife. Without waiting for an explanation, she spreads the news across the neighborhood. It doesn't take long for Dawood's colleagues to find out about Sultana. Everyone takes Sultana to their hearts, only Dawood is desperate.
Everything seems to be going well for Kaynat, both privately and professionally. On the one hand she is happy with Dawood, on the other hand she enjoys the success of her book. But at some point she learns that Dawood is already married. Sultana doesn't want to be guilty of any misfortune and shows Kaynat her true colors. Since she has worried Dawood enough, she moves out of his house and wants to start a new life in freedom as a self-confident woman. But unfortunately it doesn't get very far. Rahim finds her way and puts her back in a brothel. Kaynat witnesses Sultana being kidnapped and follows her.
In the meantime, Dawood reads Sultana's suicide note and realizes how much he misses it. Kaynat then reports on the events. Without hesitation, Dawood wants to help her out of the troubles, but can do nothing against Rahim's company. Suddenly the door opens and Dawood's neighborhood and work colleagues come to his aid and Sultana, even though they know about Sultana's prostitution. Rahim is arrested by the police and nothing stands in the way of Dawood and Sultana's wedding.
