Teddy Schwarzman

Edward Frank "Teddy" Schwarzman (born May 29, 1979 in New York City ) is an American film producer .

Life

Teddy Schwarzman is the son of investment banker Stephen A. Schwarzman and Ellen Philips Katz. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania , where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English . He then earned a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law . He then worked as a financial analyst for Citigroup Corporate & Investment Bank and as a corporate lawyer for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. From there he switched to the film business and worked as a producer at Cinetic Media in New York.

He later co-founded Black Bear Pictures with Ben Stillman , serving as its President and CEO . As part of Black Bear Productions, he was responsible for funding At Any Price - At Any Price (2012), Broken City (2013), Divorce Damage Inclusive (2013) and All Is Lost (2013). The film he co-produced The Imitation Game - A Top Secret Life (2014) was nominated for an Oscar for best film in 2015 .
