Teenagers out of control - last resort Wilder Westen is an entertainment program on RTL with the character of Reality TV . The original format was broadcast on the English channel Channel 4 under the title Brat Camp .

The program is about subjecting several adolescents with behavioral problems to therapy with the aim of rehabilitating them . These participants a camp visit to the United States under the leadership of the family therapist Annegret Fischer Noble.

First season

At the request of their parents, six adolescents with behavioral problems and difficult to raise were subjected to unusual therapy in the great outdoors. It took place at the Turn-About Ranch in a desert in the US state of Utah - far from civilization .

Second season

In the second season, eight young people took part in the therapy. It took place in the US state of Oregon and was called " Catherine Freer Wilderness Therapy Expeditions". As in the first season, Annegret Fischer Noble was the chief therapist. The team of therapists also consisted of Kris Schock, Marlies Luepges and Kami Schott.

The second season aired since February 27, 2008 and consisted of nine parts.

Third season

In the third season, six teenagers took part in the therapy. It took place in the US state of Colorado in the "Monarch Center for Family Aid" in Georgetown (Colorado) and partly in South Dakota . As in the previous seasons, Annegret Fischer Noble was the chief therapist. Another therapist was the institute director Dave Ventimiglia.

The third season began on February 25, 2009 and consisted of seven episodes.

The first episode of the third season was more successful than any episode of the second season. It was seen by a total of 4.37 (13.4% MA) million viewers. The target group had 2.91 (21.3% MA) million viewers.

Therapy concept

The therapy took place in nature. According to the organizers, this should be gestalt therapy .

The teenagers should do various exercises that should get them thinking about themselves. By giving free rein to their feelings in so-called “experiments”, the teenagers' behavior was prevented from being determined by anger, violence and aggressiveness. Fourth season

In the fourth season, six young people again took part in the therapy. It took place in Arizona , Utah , Colorado, and South Dakota , especially Monument Valley , with the help of the Monarch Center for Family Aid , based in Georgetown, Colorado . As in the previous seasons, Annegret Fischer Noble was the chief therapist.
