The Teerag-Asdag was an Austrian construction company based in Vienna . She belongs to the Porr group and was mainly responsible for civil engineering and road construction.

history

The Teerag  AG was founded in November 1914, primarily to the resulting crude tar the gasworks the City of Vienna to exploit. At that time she was based in Marxergasse in the 3rd district.

The Asdag  GmbH, a company for paving and roofing, acquired the 1920s.

The company name TEERAG-ASDAG AG has existed since 1964, when the asphalt work became a priority. The community-owned company became one of the most important road construction companies in Austria. In 1969 the company had sales of half a billion shillings . In 1991, shortly before privatization, sales amounted to 2.84 billion schillings (€ 200 million).

In 2000, Porr became the majority owner, in 2011 it also took over the shares from Wiener Stadtwerke and has been the sole owner ever since.

On September 3, 2016, Teerag-Asdag was integrated into the parent company Porr .

Corporate structure

Teerag-Asdag is a fully consolidated subsidiary of the PORR Group. Around 52% of the shares in the PORR Group are held by ABAP  Beteiligungs Holding  GmbH, and the rest of the shares are held directly by PORR AG. The Teerag-Asdag  AG has its own staff positions, eight states-branches, and a Department of bitumen and chemicals for building materials and materials research.

The company also includes a. the following investments:

  • General Road Construction  GmbH (ALLBAU)
  • Wiener Betriebs- und Baugesellschaft  mbH (WIBEBA, founded in 1941 as an energy and water supplier for the municipality of Vienna, part of Bauring Vienna , then Wiener Holding , successively privatized in 1990)
  • the IAT group ( Innovative Waterproofing Technology ), a group with IAG in Austria, Germany, Italy, BAUVEG in Switzerland (Gunimperm) , the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Impertunel in Spain
  • TEERAG-ASDAG Germany

Range of services

The main agendas of Teerag-Asdag today include civil engineering , road construction , asphalting , paving , sewer construction , sewage treatment plant construction , line construction , track construction , bridge construction , civil engineering , cavity construction , power plant construction , sealing and insulation , polymer bitumen , bitumen emulsions , special products based on bitumen , concrete construction and construction chemistry .
