Teho Teardo

Teho Teardo (born September 19, 1966 in Pordenone ) is an Italian musician and composer .

He started playing the clarinet at the age of 8, but later turned to the guitar. He co-founded the rock band Meathead in 1990, which broke up in 1997. Teardo has worked with British producer and musician Mick Harris , US singer Lydia Lunch , Blixa Bargeld , Alexander Bălănescu and Graham Lewis from the band Wire , among others . In 2003 he released an album under the name Operator with Scott McCloud, the singer and guitarist of the band Girls Against Boys . After that, Teardo toured with the British rock band Placebo . In 2006 he brought out the album Giorni Rubati with the jazz cellist Erik Friedlander .

Teardo composed music for several Italian films. Among the directors were Paolo Sorrentino , Gabriele Salvatores and Guido Chiesa . In 2009 he received the major David di Donatello film award for his composition for the film Il Divo .
