Lydia Lunch (* 2. June 1959 as Lydia Anne Koch in Rochester, New York ) is an American singer, poet and actress.

In 1977 she formed the short-lived no wave band Teenage Jesus and the Jerks . She then started a solo career and worked with JG Thirlwell (Foetus), Kim Gordon , Rowland S. Howard , Michael Gira , The Birthday Party , the Einstürzende Neubauten , Joseph Budenholzer ( Backworld ), Die Haut and Omar Rodriguez Lopez , among others .

In addition, she starred in several Underground - films , among others, Richard Kern , with and also gives Spoken Word -Vorstellungen.
