Temple Neuf (La Neuveville)
The Temple Neuf (also: Temple du Bas or Temple du Lac ) is an evangelical reformed church building of the Baroque in the center of La Neuveville , Switzerland .
history
The church building was built in addition to the Blanche Eglise outside the city walls . The Berthoud brothers planned the transverse church based on the model of the Temple du Bas in Neuchâtel . The inauguration took place in 1720.
description
The facades of the towerless church are structured by cornices and pilasters .
The gift table and pulpit are on the long side. The liturgical zone is visible from all places in the nave and the U- gallery . The U-gallery scheme was introduced shortly before at the Reformed church in Zurzach in Switzerland. In 1922 the interior was decorated with decorative paintings.
