Templemore
Templemore ( Irish : An Teampall Mór; German: "The Great Church") is a country town in County Tipperary in the central interior of the Republic of Ireland .
The place
Templemore is in the northeast of County Tipperary and had a population of 1939 people at the 2016 census ; administratively it belongs to North Tipperary .
Architecturally, Templemore is Georgian , with three-story buildings from the 19th century on Main Street. According to the locals, the market square in the city center is said to be the most spacious in the entire British Isles; an extensive city park adjoins it.
Since 1964 Templemore has housed the central Irish training center of the Garda Síochána , the Irish police, in the former Richmond Barracks . There are also a number of smaller industrial establishments in the city; The place used to be a market town for the surrounding, agrarian region.
European partner locations Templemores are the French municipality of Prémilhat and the city of Potenza Picena in Italy. The River Suir rises a few kilometers northwest of Templemore.
The Cullaun Stones are menhirs and groups of stones near the village, which (apart from a stone circle at Cullaun), similar to the neighboring Timoney Stones, do not follow any recognizable pattern.

Templemore is about 25km south of Roscrea and the N7 on the N62 National Road from Athlone to Thurles and on to Cashel on the M8 / N8 from Dublin to Cork City .
Through Iarnród Éireann , the place is connected to the InterCity route Dublin - Limerick .
