Teresio Bosco

Teresio Bosco SDB (* 1931 in Montemagno , Italy ; † February 11, 2019 ) was an Italian religious priest , author and journalist .

Life

After joining the Order, Bosco obtained a degree in theology from the Pontificio Ateneo Salesiano in Turin and then worked as a teacher in that city. Since 1966 he has worked as a journalist for numerous magazines belonging to the order. Among other things, he was director of the Bolletino Salesiano for several years and worked in the publishing house of the Italian Salesians Don Boscos Elledici . He has also published books for other publishers, including Murcia and Società Editrice Internazionale .

He was known for his short biographies on important historical figures of the twentieth century, including Mother Teresa , John XXIII. , Martin Luther King . One focus was the presentation of the life and work of the order's founder Johannes Bosco . His biographies on Dominikus Savio , Philipp Rinaldi and Margareta Occhiena have also been translated into German .
