Terra ( Greek Τέρα ( f. Sg. ), Turkish Tera or Çakırlar ) is a village in the Paphos district on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus about one kilometer north of Kritou Tera .
Tera was inhabited by Cypriot Turks before the Turkish armed forces marched in . In 1973 there were 329 Cypriot Turks in Tera. Before 1974 there were no Greek Cypriots in the village. In 1974 the Turkish residents settled in the Autonomous Turkish Administration in Cyprus , now the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus . In 1982 there were 17 Greek Cypriots in Tera, compared to 19 in 2001. In the 2011 census there were 36 residents, but none of them were Cypriot Turks.
