FeDerius Terrell Edmunds (* 20th January 1997 in Danville , Virginia ) is an American American football player at the position of the safeties . He played college football for Virginia Tech and has been with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL) since 2018 .

college

Terrell Edmunds is the son of Ferrell Edmunds , who played as a tight end in the NFL from 1988 to 1994 and was elected to the Pro Bowl twice . He attended Dan River High School in Ringgold , Virginia with his brother Tremaine Edmunds .

Edmunds played college football from 2015 to 2017 . He attended, like his brother Tremaine, the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and played there for Virginia Tech Hokies in the NCAA Division I FBS.

He had a total of 196 tackles in three seasons , including 8.5 for loss of space, 1.5 sacks , 14 defended passes, six interceptions and one forced fumble .

NFL

Edmunds was selected as the 28th player by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2018 NFL Draft in the first round . Earlier in the first round, in 16th place, his brother Tremaine Edmunds , who plays as the linebacker , was selected by the Buffalo Bills , making two brothers selected for the first time in the first round of the draft. Edmunds signed a four-year $ 10.8 million deal with the Steelers.

In his rookie season he established himself directly as a starter. He was the most on-pitch player for the Steelers, scoring 78 tackles and one interception .
