Fe'Zahn Tremaine Edmunds (* 2. May 1998 in Danville , Virginia ) is an American American football player at the position of the linebackers . He played college football for Virginia Tech and has been with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL) since 2018 .

college

Tremaine Edmunds is the son of Ferrell Edmunds , who played as a tight end in the NFL from 1988 to 1994 and was elected to the Pro Bowl twice . He attended Dan River High School in Ringgold , Virginia with his brother Terrell Edmunds .

Edmunds played college football from 2015 to 2017 . He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University , where he played for Virginia Tech Hokies in the NCAA Division I FBS.

He had a total of 213 tackles in three seasons , including 33 for loss of space, 10.0 sacks , one interception and three forced fumbles .

NFL

Edmunds was selected by the Buffalo Bills as the 16th player and second linebacker in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft at the age of 19, making him the second youngest player to be selected in an NFL Draft after Amobi Okoye . Later in the first round, in 28th place, his brother Terrell Edmunds , who plays as safety , was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers , making two brothers for the first time in the first round of the draft. Edmunds signed a four-year $ 12.7 million deal with the Bills.

He was the youngest player in NFL history to be on the grid from the first game. He caught his first interception in week 14 , setting another record as the youngest player. For his good performance in December with 43 tackles, four prevented passes, one forced fumble and two interceptions, he was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month.

After the 2019 season , he was nominated to replace the injured Dont'a Hightower for the Pro Bowl . Edmunds had his second season with over 100 tackles, making him the youngest player to have done so in two consecutive seasons.
