action
Paris, early in the morning: The bodies of Théo and Hugo meet in the deep red light of a sex club. One look and they only want one another. After sex they leave the club together, just start running, talk about the beauty of penises, the intoxication of the senses and great love.
criticism
“Oliver Ducastel and Jacques Martineau open their new film with what is probably one of the longest sex scenes in film history. But even after that, the directing duo tries to break new ground with their impulsive love story about two strangers. "
"The fact that Théo & Hugo is filmed in real time [...] gives this journey through the night a special intensity and makes it such a special, intense love story."
“The two actors Geoffrey Couët and François Nambot do really great things here, their playing is so fluid and charming and yet at the same time touchingly serious. Often the scenes have an effect like improvisations, so strongly you can feel their freedom, so easily also the best jokes arise from situations that only life writes. "
