Thaicom 3 was a Thai television satellite of the Thaicom series and Shin Satellite Public Company Limited founded in 1991 , a subsidiary of Shin Corporation based in Thailand . The Shin Satellite Public Company Limited is now called Thaicom Public Company Limited .
Thaicom 3 was created in 1997 from Kourou aboard an Ariane-4 - carrier rocket launched into space, his life expectancy was about 14 years old. On October 2, 2006, it was decommissioned after being repositioned to 50.5 ° East due to the high energy loss.
