course

The Thaler Bach rises between Munzalspitze in the west, Rotstein in the north and Schönbergspitze in the northwest and then flows south, where a short time later it takes up the Gumpenbach on the right side. The Thalerbach then flows through the Wilfernertal, which is practically completely forested on the right side. Also on the left bank there is mainly forest, only in the upper reaches some areas are used as meadows. In the lower reaches of the Thaler Bach flows through the localities of Oberthal and Thal, before flowing into the Drau.
