Shown is the story of a whale that fails to win the fight against harpoons on an expedition in the Antarctic . What happens at sea is seen and told through the eyes of a young person. After the animal has been killed, the handover of the catch from the ship of those who killed it so cruelly to the factory ship , where the whale is dismantled and processed, is shown.
