architecture

The skyscraper has a height of 276.9 meters, making it the tallest habitable building in Toronto and all of Canada after the 298 meter high First Canadian Place .

The Adelaide Hotel mainly houses hotel rooms and residential apartments. These are distributed over 59 above-ground floors. 16 elevators are installed in the building itself. The shape of the high-rise is comparatively slim. The facade is made of glass, steel and concrete.

The building houses 260 rooms for a luxury hotel as well as a 1700 square meter spa area . In addition, there are 109 condominiums from a size of 209 square meters. Originally, the skyscraper was to be connected to the underground path system PATH , which was discarded due to the high costs. The original plan to make the building 70 stories high was first reduced to 60, but subsequently approved to 70 floors. 65 floors were built. Since the project did not meet expectations, the Austrian Raiffeisenbank , among others, had to write off the loan granted for the building.

Facilities

The building includes a 1,672 m² health club and spa center with views of Lake Ontario . It also has two restaurants and a sushi / martini bar. There are parking spaces for 226 vehicles under the building.
