action
The film is a crime film that revolves around Highbury (officially Arsenal Stadium ), the former home of Arsenal FC , then the dominant club in England . The background of the film is a friendly match between Arsenal FC and the Trojans , a fictional amateur team. A Trojans player suddenly dies during the game. After it is found out that the player has been poisoned , his teammates as well as his lover are suspected. Inspector Anthony Slade is called in to resolve the matter.
Various Arsenal players appear in the film (such as Cliff Bastin ), but apart from coach George Allison, they have no speaking role. The Trojans player doubles were footballers from Brentford FC . The film was shot at Denham Film Studios in Denham and Highbury .
