The Big One (until 2011 Pepsi Max Big One ) at Blackpool Pleasure Beach ( Blackpool , Lancashire , UK ) is a steel roller coaster model Hyper Coaster by the manufacturer Arrow Dynamics , which opened on May 28, 1994.
At the time of its opening, it was the highest, fastest and steepest roller coaster in the world, with a height of 65 meters and a first drop of 62 meters. She gave her record in 1996 to Fujiyama in Fuji-Q Highland ( Fujiyoshida , Japan ). After that it was only the highest and fastest roller coaster in Europe. In 2001 it had to give up its rank as the fastest roller coaster in Europe to Colossos in Heide-Park . Just one year later, it was replaced by Silver Star in Europa-Park as the highest roller coaster in Europe. Today it is still considered the tallest roller coaster in the UK .
It was designed by John Roberts from Allott & Lomax.

The Big One has three trains with five cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.32 m tall to be allowed to ride.
