The Call 3 - Final ( Japanese 着 信 ア リ Final, Chakushin Ari: Final ) is a Japanese horror film directed by Manabu Asou in 2006 and the sequel to The Call 2 (2005) and The Call (2003).
action
During the school trip of Japanese teenagers to Korea, a cell phone rings with a distinctive ringtone that is unknown to all students on the ship crossing. A message with a photo of a dead woman has been received by one of the schoolgirls and the date given is the next day. The group ignores this strange incident with jokes. The next day the youngsters roam a Korean market, a schoolgirl gets lost, is chased and strangled by a rope. Another student is called, again from the future, again with a death announcement.
The class is getting hysterical. First suspicions are being raised that it could be a curse emanating from a bullied classmate. The classmates' harassment went so far that the girl Asuka (nicknamed Pam) hanged herself. She was rescued but has been in a coma since then. At the same time, the viewer keeps seeing Asuka, who is sitting in front of a laptop, editing a class photo and marking the victims.
One of the girls, Emiri, tries to understand what has happened with the help of a Korean friend who is a sign language teacher . In the meantime, more calls come in, the called party can transfer the call and pass the death sentence on to another person. The youngsters panic and attack anyone who receives the deadly news. So they want to prevent the message from being forwarded by the victim. The teachers downplay the danger, but try to collect the students' cell phones to take the hysteria away.
Emiri also recognizes a connection with Asuka and calls her. They tell each other about their friendship: Emiri was originally the hack victim of the class when Asuka came to her aid and the class then pounced on her. But Emiri was too weak to stand by her in turn. Emiri feels very guilty about this, but Asuka says she always noticed that Emiri was on her side and don't blame her.
Her classmates have since taken on their senses and want to help Emiri stop the curse. They try to convince Internet users to send emails to the sender address of cell phone messages in order to overload the server. The server catches fire under the load of incoming e-mails and the spook is over, but not before another phone call comes in from Emiri's Korean friend and he dies.
Asuka wakes up from the coma and can remember having taken revenge on her classmates in the dream as described above. In the final scene, Asuka pushes Emiri, who is sitting in a wheelchair, onto the pier by the sea - with that they have kept an old promise of friendship.
German version

Reviews
"This third infusion of the Japanese horror is completely confused ... solid look, but hardly scary."
"Scary cinema, which does not develop its characters too convincingly, but is quite effective as a scary entertainment following the" Ring "series."
