action

Whenever Police Officer Donelly spends his annual vacation in the China Lake area, he kills people indiscriminately. Using his private Harley-Davidson , which he transforms into a police motorcycle in a few simple steps, and his uniform, he stops motorists on lonely desert roads. Usually he fakes a traffic control and then locks his victims in the trunk of their own car, where they die in agony after a while. After a night of partying in China Lake, he is taken into custody by Deputy Bobby to sober up him. Donelly meets the local sheriff Sam Brodie and they both become friends. Brodie has only recently become the sheriff of China Lake and realizes that there has been a series of murders behind the dead and missing over the past five years. He talks openly about it with Donelly, who then offers his help in the hunt for the murderer. Over time, Brodie becomes suspicious of Donelly, as Donelly's vacation stays exactly coincide with the murders. As he investigates why the victims stopped their car in the middle of the desert, he sees Donelly professionally stopping a car in an emergency. In the meantime he suspects that this could have something to do with the series of murders. A little later, his deputy Bobby Donelly surprised how he tried to lock a driver in his trunk on a lonely desert road. Donelly then shoots them both. Meanwhile, Sheriff Sam Brodie is convinced of Donelly's guilt and has him locked up. But since he cannot present any evidence and Donelly answers the questions asked him skillfully, he has to let him go again after a short time. Now he sets a trap for him to fall into. In order not to have to go to jail, Donelly takes a hostage when he is arrested, but is then shot.
