history

The original line-up with which the debut album The Cliks was released in 2004 consisted of Ezri Kaysen on bass, drummer Heidi Chan and Silveira as singer and guitarist, but already the next record, the Bowie - and White Stripes -like Snakehouse (2007 ), should already be completed with other musicians, namely Jordan B. Wright and Morgan Doctor, who stepped in for Chan and Kaysen a year after the band was founded. Jen Benton later replaced Wright on bass, and Nina Martinez joined as a second guitarist, but left the band a year after Snakehouse was released . In the summer of 2007 the Cliks played as well as z. B. Rufus Wainwright , Tegan and Sara and Gossip on the "True Colors" tour, which took place in the United States and Canada. The band achieved greater success in 2009, especially on the radio, with their third and current album, Dirty King . After Doctor and Benton had also finished their work with the Cliks, Viglione and Parks finally joined them in November 2009.

The cliks can mainly be assigned to rock, but often they also play with elements of indie and alternative . They were once associated with David Bowie , Chrissie Hynde and Leisha Hailey by a critic for the Canadian magazine NOW .
