The Day - Fight. Or Die. (Original title: The Day ) is an end time film by director Douglas Aarniokoski from 2011 . The German premiere was on November 30, 2012.

action

The Day looks at a day in the life of a group of five people on their way through a post-apocalyptic world. The illness of a group member forces them to rest in an abandoned farmhouse. The discovery of alleged canned food turns out to be a trap. Part of the group is locked in the basement of the house. As the group already assumed, the trappers attracted by the trap are cannibals and can initially be repulsed. Since an escape is not possible, the group turns to fight, which reaches its climax in the course of the night. In the end, only one of the protagonists is still alive and continues on her way.

In a subplot, the leader of the cannibals is shown as the caring father of a son and daughter.

The Day was shot by Douglas Aarniokoski based on the book by Luke Passmore. The shooting took place in the fall of 2010 in Ottawa .

The film is rated 23% by Rotten Tomatoes. With 6/10 the film on Gamona.de does better. The figure drawing is criticized, whereas the optics are pleasing.
