Career

The Dove Shack entered the professional music business on Warren G's album " Regulate ... G Funk Era " with the song "This Is the Shack" named after them. It was one of the two titles from this long player that Warren G himself did not perform.

The group then received a record deal with Def Jam Recordings , who had already released “Regulate ... G Funk Era”, via the imprint “Rush Associated Labels” . About this then appeared in August 1995 - at the same time as "Conversation" by the Twinz , another Def-Jam project that has its origins on "Regulate ... G Funk Era" - the debut album by The Dove Shack, which also features the piece "This Is the Shack" was and was named after this.

The first single , however, "Summertime in the LBC" is selected, a song which is also on the soundtrack of hip-hop - Documentary " The Show was included." The title stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for 20 weeks , reaching the top position 54 and thus helping the RIAA to award the soundtrack a platinum record for one million sales. The success was not carried over to the same extent on his own album, however, it only reached number 68 on the Billboard 200 and left this sales list after just 8 weeks. The long player's second single, “We Funk”, was only ranked 44th in the “Hot Rap Singles” chart of Billboard magazine .

This was followed in 1998 with “Low Low”, a contribution to the soundtrack of the film Fakin 'Da Funk , before no new music by The Dove Shack was released for several years.

In 2002 and 2003, The Dove Shack reappeared when they appeared on the largely overlooked albums by Riccy Boy and Doc. Ce were featured . In 2006 they finally brought out a second full-length player through Pony Canyon Records . However, “Reality Has Got Me Tied Up” no longer achieved commercial significance, just like the independently published solo works of the individual members: “Knight Time” by C-Knight from 2001, “It's About Time” by 2 Scoop from 2010 and “My Music” My Soul - Tha Album “from 2010 by Bo Roc.
