The Heavy are a British indie rock band from Noid near Bath in south-west England.

Career

In the late 1990s, friends Kelvin Swaby and Dan Taylor founded the band The Heavy with other musicians . It wasn't until 2007 that they recorded their first singles for a London label. Her debut album Great Vengeance and Furious Fire was released in the same year . The following year it was also released in the USA and The Heavy performed at the South by Southwest Festival in Texas , among others . The two singers Collins and Symons left the band; Singer-songwriter Swaby and guitarist Taylor led the band with four of them, bassist Spencer Page and new drummer Chris Ellul.

Almost two years later their second album The House That Dirt Built was released , which brought them their breakthrough in the States. It peaked at number 6 on the Heatseeker charts and also made it onto the official Billboard 200 .

Her single How You Like Me Now? is included in the soundtrack of the films Horrible Bosses , The Fighter and Ted . In addition, the title Short Change Hero serves as the background music for the intro video of Borderlands 2 , a game by the development studio Gearbox Software , as the theme tune for the TV series Strike Back and the epilogue of the action flick Faster . In the USA network series Suits , singles were used such as: Coleen , How Do You Like Me Now? and What Makes A Good Man?

The song What Makes A Good Man served as one of the official theme songs for the 2013 WWE Royal Rumble.
