After local success in Wedemark, the band achieved popularity in the Hanover region in 1991 through appearances in the Capitol and in the Bad Musiktheater . In 1993 she published her first sound carrier move , which was self-distributed and became known nationwide , not least through a tour in Russia with the groups Atoll (RUS) and Terry Hoax and winning the Hannover muckt auf competition of the Bild (newspaper) . In 1994 they signed a contract with EMI Music Publishing . In 1997, the single Stars (from the album Whatever They Say ) was released on Sony Music and was the band's biggest commercial success to date , at number 64 in the German airplay charts . The band broke up for the first time in 1999, but after a two-year hiatus, The Jinxs got back together in 2001 and played a comeback concert at the Capitol . Further appearances followed u. a. at the Deichbrand Festival . On November 16, 2012, their last big concert ( farewell concert ) took place in the Capitol in Hanover , the band wanted to finally break up (as in 1999).
