The Loved Ones is an American punk rock band from Philadelphia . The band is signed to Fat Wreck Chords .

history

Dave Heim was approached by Mike Sneeringer, drummer for Trial by Fire , and Michael Cotterman, bassist for Kid Dynamite , in 2004 when he was a member of Paint It Black after The Curse broke up , so that together they were The Loved Ones founded.

The first self-named EP was released in 2005 .

While support for The Bouncing Souls , the band had the opportunity to also as the opening act for NOFX occur. Inspired by the band, NOFX frontman Fat Mike offered The Loved Ones a record deal with his label Fat Wreck Chords . The debut album Keep Your Heart was released in 2006 .

In December 2006 it was announced that founding member Michael Cotterman had left the band. Chris Gonzalez joined the band as a replacement. In addition, a second guitarist, David Walsh, was hired. Both were members of the band The Explosion , which broke up quickly.

With the participation of Pete Steinkopf and Bryan Kienlen, both members of The Bouncing Souls , the second album was created with the name Build & Burn . It was released on February 5, 2008.

Since Chris Gonzalez was not available during the 2010 Australian tour, Michael Cotterman returned to the band for the tour.

Since then the band has been inactive, some of its members have started solo projects.
