The Mob is a Founded in 2005, American hard rock - Super Group , whose members as musicians in other bands (u a.. Night Ranger , Winger , Whitesnake and King's X had acquired) awareness. The group released their only album to date on Frontiers Records .

history

The group was put together by Reb Beach (guitar). After introducing some of the songs he had written to the people in charge of Frontiers Records, he was encouraged to look for musicians with whom he could record an album. Beach chose keyboardist Timothy Drury, with whom he had worked on Whitesnake, as well as drummer Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger) and the singer of the group King's X, Doug Pinnick , for the project.

Kip Winger, who had founded the band Winger with Beach, could be won as producer for the album. In addition to his duties as a producer, Winger also played bass on the album, but without being a member of the group. At concerts, Pinnick should take over this part.

The self-titled album was recorded in April 2005 at Wingers studio in Nashville ; the title The Magic was sung by drummer Keagy, all other songs were sung by Pinnick. The album contained eleven songs and was released on November 7, 2005. Despite positive reviews ( Rock Hard wrote that it was "a no- frills hit album" ) the group did not have any commercial success, so it stayed with this one release.
