The Order is under contract with the Hamburg label Dockyard1 Records . The group has released three albums on this label to date. Spring, Casciero and Abplanalp have played together in various bands over the past 20 years, including the Basel crossover band Gurd and the Bernese metal combo Jerk. They played in the cast of The Order have concerts in Switzerland, Germany and Italy and appeared as the opening act of bands like WASP , Shakra and Y & T on. The Order are often only perceived as Gianni's side project or Bruno's solo project, which the band members cannot explain themselves, as they see The Order as an independent band, independent of the members' other projects and bands.
Gianni Pontillo was next to joining The Order also singer of the Basler group Pure Inc . From 2012 he is part of the Slädu & Friends project. Bruno Spring and Andrej Abplanalp were on the road with the industrial band Swamp Terrorists for a few years in the 1990s . This was also successful in America, Japan and Brazil and dissolved in 1999.
In 2011 The Order worked on their fourth album, which will have the title 1986 because, according to the guitarist, it "sounds exactly like that".
In early March 2012, the band signed a worldwide record deal with Massacre Records . The new album titled 1986 was released on July 27, 2012 and made it into the Swiss charts.
On May 6, 2016, "Rock 'n' Rumbel", the fifth long player from the Swiss, was released. As with "1986", the quartet has dedicated itself entirely to the hard rock of the 80s. Only modern production is a reminder that the songs were recorded in the 21st century.
style
The Order play classic hard rock that has shifted more and more in the direction of the 1980s over the years.
