The Paramour Sessions is the fourth major label album by the California rock band Papa Roach . It was released on September 12, 2006. The name of the album comes from the studio "Paramour Mansion", where the album was created. It is the follow-up to the 2004 album Getting Away with Murder .

concept

Compared to the previous albums, the style of music has changed quite a lot. The album has a darker tone and is a bit quieter overall, and most of the songs are more of alternative rock than nu metal . The lyrics are about suicide ("Time Is Running Out" and "Roses on My Grave", which Shaddix dedicated to his grandfather, who committed suicide in 2006), drugs ("Forever"), love ("The World Around You", "No More Secrets") and mistakes in life ("What Do You Do?").
