action

The old Pearce sisters, a little thin and a big corpulent one, live in a little hut by the sea. Often they go out in their boat and fish fish, which the big one gathers and hangs in a high smokehouse for smoking. The little one always lights the fire. One day the big one discovers a crashed boat in the sea. Both go out, but they can only rescue the skipper dead. They bring him ashore, dress him in one of their blouses, and place him on an armchair. So prepared, the man suddenly comes back to life. When the little one asks him if he wants tea, he flees from the two women in horror. He also tears his blouse before running into the sea. The little one gets angry and follows him with a mallet, but the big one steals him with a reproachful look.

Some time later, the two women find the partially decomposed body of the man. The little one is enthusiastic and the big one drags the man to the hut. She begins to gut him. Then she hangs it in the smokehouse. Brown and rigid, he is later brought to the hut, where the little one prepares him. In an adjoining room she places him at a tea table, where numerous other male corpses already smoked in this way are sitting. Everyone is holding a teacup in their hand. The little one serves tea and the big one takes a seat at the table. When a fly lands in her empty teacup, she brings it outside undamaged and lets it fly. In the end, both sisters stand on the beach and look out over the sea.
