The Silence is a 2019 German- American horror film released on Netflix with Kiernan Shipka and Stanley Tucci in the lead role. Directed by John R. Leonetti based on a script by Carey Van Dyke and Shane Van Dyke , which adapted the horror novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon from 2015. The film shows a world attacked by creatures that hunt for sound.

Netflix released The Silence on April 10, 2019.

Bats transform into human-attacking creatures after being attacked by insects. They react to noises and then attack. The deaf Ally is attacked with her family, but since Ally has keen senses, thanks to which she perceives the bats, they can escape.
