The Wild Hunt (translated: The Wild Hunt ) is a Canadian drama directed by Alexandre Franchi ( director , writer ) from 2009.

Erik leads a bleak life in Montreal . He has to look after his father in need of care and has stress with his girlfriend Evelyn, an enthusiastic live role player . When she starts an affair with another player during a live role-playing game, Erik follows her and wants to get her out of the game world. But Evelyn got into the mock captivity of her lover, the shaman Murtagh, in the course of the game. The game is subject to certain rules and Erik soon realizes that he will only be able to win back his girlfriend if he immerses himself in the game, which is unknown to him. He gets help from his brother Björn, who is a fanatical player. Erik becomes the character "Erik the Viking" and forges a plan with his brother to free his girlfriend from captivity. But everything goes wrong and the game escalates.
