history

The ship was built in Strasbourg in 1911 as a Péniche. The launch took place on November 11, 1911. The 39 meter long and 5 meter wide ship was initially non-motorized and was towed with horses .

In 1940 the ship was sunk on the Meuse during World War II . It was lifted in 1941 and repaired in 1943. Towards the end of the war, the ship was confiscated by France.

In 1955 France gave the ship back to its owners, the Lahr family, who had it retrofitted with an engine at the Luisenthal shipyard. Until 1991, the ship was still used as a cargo ship, mainly in France.

In June 2006, Frank Lion bought the ship and had it converted into a theater ship at the Wirotius shipyard in Rilchingen-Hanweiler . The hold of the ship was converted into an event room for up to 120 people.
