Theodolinde Mehltretter

Sister Maria Theodolinde Mehltretter (born February 6, 1946 in Weiden idOPf. ) Is a German religious. From 2004 to 2016 she was Superior General of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent von Paul in Munich .

Life

Johanna Mehltretter grew up in a hamlet near Neukirchen-Balbini . In 1963, at the age of 17, she entered the Order of the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent von Paul and took the religious name Theodolinde. She gave up her original wish to go on a mission and, following her novitiate , worked in the administration of the Planegg forest sanatorium for 21 years . During this time she trained to become a financial accountant and business economist. In 1987 she initially took over the bookkeeping in the mother house of the order in Munich. Finally, in the summer of 1989, she was entrusted with the management of the order's own Adelholzener Primusquelle . There she consolidated the company's position as the market leader in mineral waters in Bavaria with the implementation of innovative ideas.

On November 13, 2004, she was elected Superior General of the Order as the successor to Adelinde Schwaiberger . In October 2016 she handed over this office to Rosa Maria Dick. As one of three general councilors, she continues to be a member of the order leadership.
