Theodor Joseph von Wrede zu Amecke (born March 15, 1736 in Amecke ; † November 4, 1808 ) was electoral district president in Hildesheim and canon in various dioceses.

Life

Theodor Joseph von Wrede zu Amecke came from the Westphalian noble family von Wrede and was the son of Karl Philipp von Wrede and his wife Maria Anna von Schade . After studying, he completed his biennium in Reims from 1761 to 1762 . This was a prerequisite for the spiritual profession. As early as 1759 it came into the possession of a cathedral priest in Hildesheim . In his capacity as Turnar, Clemens August von Korff called Schmising gave him a Münster prebende in 1784 , which he renounced two years later in favor of Franz Karl Waldbott von Bassenheim . In 1789, by a majority decision of the cathedral chapter, he received a prebend, which Maximilian von Droste zu Hülshoff had previously waived. The revolt took place on March 10, 1789. A legal dispute developed, which ended with Theodor Joseph receiving another vacant prebend from the Elector. Through papal commission it came into the possession of a prebende in Paderborn in 1786 . Prince-Bishop Franz Egon von Fürstenberg appointed him regional president in Hildesheim in 1801. He was a subdeacon and held the office of cathedral waiter from 1768 to 1789. From 1801 until his death in 1808 he was Domsenior.
